8.3.2 Ballast Control Station Displays

Where remote control stations are fitted, the instrumentation parameters as indicated in (1) and (3) and the ballast tank level indications are to be displayed at the remote-control station. Display of items in (2) and (4) at the remote-control station is strongly recommended. A tank level gauging system, where fitted, is to be capable of measuring the full height of all ballast tanks individually and is to be provided at the ballast control station. Where applicable, the selection of a tank level gauging system and its integration with the ballast water management system is to be specially considered to verify the system compatibility such that the level gauging system works correctly with the ballast water management system.
